ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CULVERTS AT LINCOLN AVE= AND
3ENTON STREET., CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has -prepared Specifications., Special Provisions
and Plans for the construction of culverts at Lincoln Avenue and Benton Street,
numbered Fol 9-53-10 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on September 15., 1953;
NOW TITEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIT' COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF ALAI[�,"DA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and, filed as,
aforesaid., be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTIT�',R, that the performance and completion of the work specified
in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVI-,,'D, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 otelock P. M. on Tuesday, October 6, 1953, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and
equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the
City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the out-
side "Proposal for Culvert Construction at Lincoln Ave. and Benton St.ff,, or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded., will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -Star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution
and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in
regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of September, 1953, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES'. Councilmen Anderson., Jones, McCall, Yoresi and President
Sweeney, (5).

ABSENT: None.
