ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR THE RESURFACING OF HIGH STREET FROM CENTRAL AVEN'Tj'E','
TO THE HIGH STRHET BRIDGE, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for theresurfac--I-ng of High Street from Central Avenue to the High Street
Bridge, numbered PW 6-53-9 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on Ju1Y 7t 1953;
NOW THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions . r r - and P-1an i-wibereand iled as

nforessid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and corplotion of the work specified
in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same Is hereby auttorized.
RESOLVED, FURTIPLER, th-1t; tlhe Coun.cil of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, July 21, 1953, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes,
tools and equipment necessary for the work hareinabove referred to, in accordance
with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk,
in the City Ha119 in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked oil
the outside "Proposal for Resurfacing of High Street fron Central Avenue to the High
Street Bridge", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded sub:ect to the nrovislons of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The risht is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on
application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alaneda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Aiamo;da Times -Star
Cnotice callinq for sealed bids, in accordance with the arovisions of this reso-
lotion and of said Specifications and Provisions.
!I the undersigned, hereby certIfy that theforegoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assenbled on the 7th day of July, 19,153, by the following vote, to wit:
