AMENDING THE SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE ALAMEDA CITY
EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (ACEA) TO REINSTATE THE
CLASSIFICATION OF HOUSING SPECIALIST II AND ADDING THE
CLASSIFICATION OF DIRECTOR OF RENT PROGRAM AND
APPROVING WORKFORCE CHANGES IN THE CITY
ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO ADD SIX NEW POSITIONS: THREE
HOUSING SPECIALIST, ONE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT
ANALYST, ONE ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN II POSITION,
AND DIRECTOR OF RENT PROGRAM. AUTHORIZE THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO FILL THE SIX NEW POSITIONS CONSISTENT
WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, in order to support the transition of the Rent Program from the
Housing Authority to the City, six new full time positions in the City Attorney's Office are
recommended; and
WHEREAS, in order to direct and oversee the operation of the Rent Program's
within the City Attorney's Office it is recommended to add the new classification of
Director of Rent Program; and
WHEREAS, in order to support the operations of the Rent program it is
recommended to add the classification of Housing Specialist II to the Alameda City
Employees Association (ACEA) Salary Schedule and allocate three new positions; and
WHEREAS, in order to support the operations of the Rent program it is
recommended to allocate one Administrative Management Analyst and One
Administrative Technician II; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the salary schedule amendment and workforce changes as outlined
below are so modified, resulting in an overall increase of six full time permanent
positions to the City's total position allocation.
o Add one Administrative Technician II position
o Add one Administrative Analyst position
o Add one Director of Rent Programs. Salary is listed below:
