Resolution 15987CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 15987 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 MIDCYCLE POLICE GRANTS FUND (221) ESTIMATED REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 EACH FOR THE SURRENDERED AND ABANDONED VESSEL EXHANGE GRANT WHEREAS, on June 21, 2022, the City Council did adopt a budget representing the financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023; and WHEREAS, the Police Department applied and was awarded the Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE) Grant from the Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is removing and disposing abandoned, surrendered, wrecked or dismantled vessels, or parts thereof, or any other partially submerged objects, which are likely to cause environmental degradation or pose a substantial hazard to navigation within the agency's jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, staff is proposing that the Police Grants Fund (221) estimated revenues and appropriations be increased by $100,000 each; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the report on the budget amendment and has determined that the budget amendment is both fair and appropriate; and WHEREAS, the City Council has given this budget due consideration as to its projected revenues, anticipated expenditures and available fund balances; and WHEREAS, this budget ensures that the City of Alameda has exercised prudent judgment in its fiduciary responsibility as guardian of the public tax dollars. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the budget amendment for the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Budget is approved for the Police Grants Fund (221) by increasing estimated revenues and appropriations by $100,000 each for the SAVE Grant. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of October 2022, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Herrera Spencer, Knox White, Vella and Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft — 5.
