AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 CAPITAL BUDGET BY DEFUNDING
REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM C11000 BY $175,000, DEFUNDING REVENUE AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C61000 BY
$325,000, AND INCREASING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM C65200 BY $500,000
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, the City Council of the City of Alameda approved
Resolution 16060 adopting the Fiscal Years (FY) 2023-24 Operating and Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, approximately $5.2 million is currently budgeted in the Pavement
Management Project Capital improvement Project (CIP) C11000 of which $175,000 is
available for reappropriation; and
WHEREAS, approximately $573,400 is currently budgeted in the Street Safety CIP
C61000 of which $325,000 is available for reappropriation; and
WHEREAS, to construct the Clement Avenue Safety Improvements Project between
Grand Street and Broadway in calendar years 2023 and 2024, additional funds are needed
in the Clement Ave OAT - Grand to Broadway CIP C65200; and
WHEREAS, Resolutions 15849 (Making Significant Safety Improvements to Alameda
Streets in 2022 and Beyond to End Fatalities and Serious Injuries) identified the Clement
Avenue Safety Improvements, between Grand Street and Broadway, as a priority project to
improve street safety in the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $175,000 from CIP C11000, Pavement
Management to CIP C65200; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes to reallocate $325,000 from CIP C13000, Traffic Signals and
Systems to CIP C65200; and
WHEREAS, total proposed changes are summarized in the following table

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby
amends the FY 2023-24 Operating and Capital Budget by reappropriating $175,000 from CIP
C11000 and $325,000 from CIP C61000 to CIP C65200, fora total revenue and expenditure
increase not to exceed $500,000.

adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled
on the 7th day of November 2023, by the following vote to wit:
