Resolution 16146 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 16146 AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2021-2023 CAPITAL BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE AN ADDITIONAL $279,900 FROM THE CITY SOLID WASTE SURCHARGE FUND (FUND 260) WHEREAS, the Alameda City Doolittle landfill began operation in 1953 and was closed pursuant to an approved closure plan in 1987; and WHEREAS, the landfill has a gas collection system and flare used for the combustion of excess methane generated by the landfill; and WHEREAS, the City Council appropriated $500,000 for the Doolittle Landfill Flare and Piping Replacement Project as part of the Fiscal Year 2021-2023 Capital Budget; and WHEREAS, the project requires $279,900 in additional funding from the Solid Waste Surcharge Fund (Fund 260); and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in Fund 260 for this requested appropriation. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Finance Director is hereby authorized to amend the Fiscal Year 2021-2023 Capital Budget to appropriate an additional $279,900 from the City Solid Waste Surcharge - Doolittle Fund (Fund 260) balances for the Doolittle Landfill Flare and Piping Replacement Project (C76000). I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of April 2024, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Herrera Spencer, Jensen, Vella and Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft— 5.
