TUESDAY- -MARCH 7, 2000- -6:55 P.M.
Mayor Appezzato convened the Special Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call - Present: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson,
Kerr and Mayor Appezzato - 5.
Absent: None.
The Special Meeting was adjourned to Closed Session to consider:
(00 -104) Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation; Name
of Cases: California Check Cashing Stores, Inc. v. City
of Alameda, and City of Alameda v. Port of Oakland.
Following the Closed Session, the Special Meeting was reconvened
and Mayor Appezzato announced that regarding California Check
Cashing Stores, Inc. v. City of Alameda, the City Council gave
instructions to the City Attorney; and regarding City of Alameda v.
Port of Oakland, the Council gave instructions to the City
Attorney: [Law Office of] Wendal, Rosen, Black & Dean to serve as
document holder.
Adjournment
There being no further business before the City Council, the
Special Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
