Mayor /Chair Appezzato convened the Special Joint Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call - Present: Councilmembers /Commissioners /Board Members Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr and Mayor /Chair Appezzato - 5. Absent: None. The Special Joint Meeting was adjourned to Closed Session to consider: (CC /00 -285) (CIC /00 -26) Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation; Initiation of litigation pursuant to subdivision (c) of Section 54956.9; Number of Potential Cases: One. (CC /00 -286) (CIC /00 -27) Conference with Real Property Negotiator; Property: Alameda Point and Fleet Industrial Supply Center; Negotiating Parties: City of Alameda, Community Improvement Commission, Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority, Catellus Development Corporation and U.S. Navy; Under Negotiations: Price, Terms and Conveyance. (CC /00 -287) (CIC /00 -28) Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation; Name of Cases: Bayhawk Inc. v. City of Alameda; Renewed Hope Housing Advocates and ARC Ecology v. City of Alameda and Community Improvement Commission. Following the Closed Session, the Special Joint Meeting was reconvened and Mayor /Chair Appezzato announced that regarding Anticipated Litigation, initiation of litigation was discussed and litigation was not authorized; regarding Conference with Real Property Negotiator, the Council /Commission /Board obtained a briefing and gave instructions to real property negotiators; regarding Bayhawk Inc. v. City of Alameda, settlement of change order litigation was authorized; and regarding Renewed Hope Housing Advocates and ARC Ecology v. City of Alameda and Community Improvement Commission, the status of litigation was discussed and instructions were given to the City Attorney /Legal Counsel.
